You’re in Line Behind Meta, Google, and Washington

If you’re planning a mortgage on a home, you’re standing in line behind Google, Meta, and the Treasury Department. All competing for the same money.
Data centers now cost tens of billions. Google has already borrowed more than $70 billion this year. Meta paid about 7.5% just to finance El Paso. Washington still needs $2.1 trillion in new debt this year, plus a $1.5 trillion Pentagon ask.
America’s net private savings are only about $2.2 trillion. Foreign lenders are selling, not buying. Demand for capital is exploding. The supply isn’t. That’s why a 30-year mortgage sits near 6.7% — and can go higher.
Politicians will pick inflation over high rates every time. You don’t have to wait for that.
A Plan B means options: another place to live, savings that aren’t trapped in one currency, assets that hold up if rates stay high or prices jump.
