Trump wants to suspend beef tariffs to help with soaring prices. But wait–I thought we were told tariffs don’t raise prices? If foreign producers were “eating” the tariffs, why would suspending them change anything? This is an admission without an admission. You can’t say tariffs don’t raise prices, then claim removing them will lower prices. Make it make sense.
