I just learned that France sold all their gold held at Fort Knox and repurchased it outside the US. This got me thinking about something bigger – I believe we’ve projected our military strength as a threat, and the world is starting to see America’s power as a liability. In my view, if other countries want to disarm us, they don’t need weapons – they just need to stop financing our deficits and let our economy implode. This is how the economic war could be won.
